Le Centre Pompidou – Discover one of the largest collections of modern and contemporary art

Le Centre Pompidou is one of the largest museums in Paris. On a total of 10 levels, it houses the largest collection of modern and contemporary art. It also includes 2 cinemas, a theatre and a conference room, a public library, a documentation and research centre for the museum and the Kandinsky Library.

Its architecture is original because it incorporates a huge escalator visible from the outside, called the “Beaubourg”. As for its structure, it is made of glass and metal, with primary colours of blue, yellow, green and red.

The little extra, from the roof terrace it is possible to enjoy an incredible view of Paris and the Eiffel Tower.

What can you see at Le Centre Pompidou?

The Centre Pompidou, or more commonly known as Beaubourg by Parisians, exhibits over 120,000 works of modern art. Many masterpieces by emblematic artists of the 20th and 21st centuries such as Picasso, Miro, Dubuffet, Matisse, Kandinsky, Ernst, Delaunay, Otto Dix and Frida Khalo can be discovered there.

Adult price 15.98 euros instead of 17 euros with the code TIQETSMUSEUMS on tiqets.com

This retrospective is devoted to Gérard Garouste, one of the greatest contemporary French painters, adept at uncompromising figuration.

It brings together 120 major paintings, often of very large format, and presents installations, sculptures and graphic works by the artist. The exhibition allows us to apprehend the richness of the unclassifiable career of Gérard Garouste, “the restless one”, whose life of study, but also of madness, and his enigmatic work inspire each other in a fascinating dialogue.
