Chambord Castle – Visit one of the most famous architectural wonders of the French Renaissance

Commissioned by King Francis I, with design elements attributed to Leonardo da Vinci, it is considered the largest and most majestic of the Loire castles. You can freely visit the castle, and explore its forest and gardens throughout the day. It is located in Chambord, France.

The Chambord Castle has always been dedicated to the arts. The Bourgeois Gentilhomme by Molière was performed there for the first time, in front of Louis XIV in 1670. Faithful to this tradition, the estate has put in place since 2010 a quality cultural program (music festival, exhibitions, readings, shows…).

If Chambord is one of the most famous castles of the Loire Valley, it is also thanks to its incredible domain, which is the largest of the Loire Valley. By following the Grande Promenade, which extends over more than twenty kilometers of paths and tracks, you will be able to discover the forest, the lakes, the wild animals (stags, hinds, wild boars…) and all the biodiversity of the Chambord estate.
