Barben Animal Park – The largest animal park in the south of France

The park is home to over 650 creatures from more than 120 species of incredible wild animals, all set in 30 acres of scrubland, meadows, umbrella pines and large pastures. Offering world-class facilities, an incredible menagerie of animals, daily entertainment and presentations with zookeepers, La Barben Zoo is the perfect outing for animal lovers.

Travel to a land of emotions. In the heart of 33 hectares of Mediterranean vegetation, far from any urban area, the Parc Animalier de la Barben offers you the opportunity to meet animals from all over the world. Rhinoceroses, giraffes, elephants, lions, cheetahs, reptiles…in total 700 animals, 130 species will delight you, amaze you, and leave you with an unforgettable memory. Come and live this unique experience with your family or friends, during a walk at your own pace, punctuated by a bucolic picnic or a lunch in our snack bar! Take a break on the children’s playground or take the little train!

The Barben Animal Park is committed to the preservation of biodiversity and the safeguarding of endangered species (the Niger giraffe, the African elephant, the rhinoceros, the red panda…). It supports various programs for the protection of animals in their natural environment (in situ conservation) and outside their natural environment (ex situ conservation) by relaying their actions to the public and by providing financial assistance.

The zoo has created its own foundation, Ecofaune, whose purpose is to collect donations from individuals, companies and schools, which are then transferred in full to the various programs it supports.
